Title: Shifting ice tactics
Post by: BasiliskFang on June 27, 2013, 08:19:59 PM
Ice tactics targets a specific character so it can be shifted.

But what happens? Does the new target need to discard?

Quote from: Meta #101A defending player cannot shift an attack to a Character if it would result in the shifted attack having no effect.

to elaborate a little more - it can't be shifted to a character who has nothing to discard, but it can also be shifted and then avoided still. So, if Jubilee has anything placed, you could use her AC, then her AG to avoid the AI.

no no, you can still shift it, as long as the new target can lose a card. I just mean to say that you can still avoid the AI after a shift (which is preventing the AI from being effective, technically, which almost seems like it's violating the Meta rule... but it's not  :D)
