My opinion, yes.
The special card takes on the properties of the power card.
By definition, you're not attacking the opponent if this power card were to "hit" them, otherwise the opponent would have an opportunity to defend, which in this case they do not.
It would be nice, but the answer is no. It doesn't work that way.
First off, despite saying 'acts as a power card' it does not take on the properties of power cards. If it did, then other cards would also be similarly affected. IE: Master Mold could be used to remove Dynamite Delivery.
Also, the BS card states that the card must be equal. So, unless you're tossing a level nine power card, this trick won't work.
Specials that acts as power cards are the ones that can be used to defend (for the most part).

I would have to do a lot of digging, but I believe I recall a similar discussion on here which indicated that a special card acting as a power card was considered to have the traits of a power card.
Meta #84: Specials which indicate that they act as Power cards only act as Power cards in that they can sometimes be used to attack or defend (as specified on the Special). They do NOT take on any other properties of Power cards i.e., they count towards X-Babies K.O., they do NOT fuse with other MultiPower Power cards, they cannot be removed with an EE Special.
I am also sure this discussion has come up, but Meta 84 pretty much sums it up.
It's possible this came up in a discussion over my House Rules - One of my House Rules stipulates the opposite - cards that act as another card type take on said properties. But alas, no one seems interested in making my rule set official. ;)

Can I use the BS special (hmm, what an appropriate code!) from a site with a character like Deathbird who has reserve access with power cards, to protect the front line?
Since they ARE power cards sound like a nice play. I look forward to a debate cuz I don't see a prob. I'm obtuse :D

lot of work just to get a 9 attack off, but its not one per deck and it has defensive utility as well.
But the Trickster card explicitly states that the revealed card must be an attack to hit your opponent. So the Wasp card would be discarded in the event it was chosen.
Yes, but note where the Shell Game tells you to discard the chosen card if it's not an attack. ;)
Yes but the last thing he writes in the post is that it's a lot of work to get a 9 attack... which will never happen even if he does get the card added to the power pack.
