Title: Vertigo update
Post by: AO user on June 02, 2014, 03:14:30 PM
I haven't seen/played a marauder deck since the 90's.  after reading some posts I pretty sure it's been nerfed  or meta'd or something....for example you can't play it defensively....AND?

For example the wiki says...

If the redirected attack causes there to be no function then it has effectively blocked the attack (for example, attacking a character with an AI special that is redirected to a different character who has no placed cards, has effectively blocked the AI special from landing).

But then says right below...
Meta #101 A defending player cannot shift an attack to a Character if it would result in the shifted attack having no effect.

yeah, it sucks.

I'd lean more towards the meta rule.  I think you can still shift something like an AV (target may not attack FROB) though, even if you have no specials usable by that character

There is a lot of misinformation on the wiki. The explanation part (the top) is likely out of date. It was a simply copy/paste job to get content on -- none of it has been verified. The infobox on the right and  the meta rules should override anything written in  the top section.
