If he is on the front line, can he target himself and remove his own hits and put himself in reserve. I'm thinking no...

i thought that he could play it on himself if he is alone and put himself in reserve and forfeit the round.

someone in reserve and hawkeye front row... absorb the hits in reserve, then play that.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can target a reserve teammate unless the card specifically says so.

I think you CAN defend a reserve character with a teammate avoid though
