Title: Removing hits Defensively
Post by: Palatinus on March 30, 2011, 03:04:37 PM
Can a hit be removed in response to an attack with an EE and or an AL?

AL cannot be played defensively.

EE can be played defensively to avoid the attack but never to remove a hit from current/permanent record.

Essentially, you can only defend against the attacking card.

That's really too bad.  It would be interesting if there was something like an ally card for defense.  "Acts like a level 3 defensive action, teammate must play one special card that doesn't target opponent or opponent's team."

That would be slightly disadvantageous since you would lose card advantage much faster.

Maybe.  I guess it would depend on the special you played.  If it was a draw three special you wouldn't be hurting.  It just kind of makes sense to me that allies could defend as well as attack.  Who knows if the game creators would have ever gone there or not.  Or maybe doubleshot cards were their answer for that.
