So for FC specials that say the power card must be blocked twice does this mean that 1. If the defending character wants to block the card they will have to do so twice, or 2. That if the card can be blocked at all it must be and twice if possible and will hit if only once?
Also, can this attack just be avoided once?
The way I've played it, yes, the card has to be blocked twice (ie avoid special plus power card block). There is no point in blocking it just one time if it'll hit you anyway without the second block. Playing a negate against it though would cancel out the card completely so that there is no need to block twice. I use this card if I think it has a very good chance of hitting and completing a spectrum knockout. You also need to keep in mind that you possibly give up card advantage if you do score the hit since it has cost you two cards.
Also note you can't play this card with an Any power or Multipower card.
Is there a prerogative to block it though, or is it a choice?

I'm not sure I understand. ???
If you
can't 'block' it twice (avoid & power card/ avoid & teammate avoid/ power card & power card/ etc., or negate it once (which cancels everything), then you take a single power card hit.
what I mean is, if you can block it, do you have to?

Oh I think I get it. You're concerned with the word "must" on the card. No that is a condition for defense
IF you chose to defend. You always have the option of whether or not to defend an attack or let it go through. I'm not aware of any card that FORCES you to defend it. I do know some cards that force you to attack however. The HK special for instance.

How come?
Does anyone run these as staples in their decks, or merely fillers, or is this card pretty much useless?
The FC requires specific types of Power cards to be used in the action.
I haven't seen any of these in decks or Battlesites.
Man, I knew that... I was wondering if anyone played these, and I forgot the text on the card. :P
I didn't think these would get much play since they put you a card down, but I thought maybe in spectrum style decks designed to get in that last hit, they might find some use. Just thought I'd ask and see what everyone thought.
ghost rider would probably make the best use of it. it works in all 3 of his 6 stats. the drawback is, your deck will already be heavy with ghost rider specials
on the plus side, if you DO decide to use it, you can put in all 9 (!) of his specials (not many characters can pull that off ;))
