Title: morph: substitute death
Post by: breadmaster on August 19, 2011, 02:14:25 PM
i've heard this argued both ways

does this have to be played in the same battle the exchanged character was ko'd, or can it be played anytime after?

QuoteCards which are already in play (from this battle or previous battles) on the character remain in play after the switch. The teammate swapped might have been K.O.'d for many battles prior to playing the Special.

Maybe I should include these with the metas...

It's on this page:
http://overpower.ca/pages/meta.php (http://overpower.ca/pages/meta.php)

if you seach "Non-Meta Rule Information" it brings you down to the list of codes with errata.

So if you have Substitute Death placed, you wouldn't have to discard any KOd heroes specials, right? I'm thinking this because at any moment those KOd characters could be brought back into play.

That is correct, sir! This is the same benefit you get if you have the X-World Aspect placed and some one dies (my brother hated this fact when I pointed it out to him  :P)

Wow, never thought about that - thats a nice little safety net.
