Title: Sunfire - (FO) Radiate Heat
Post by: DiceK on August 07, 2012, 04:23:15 PM
Am I allowed to use this on my own teammate, and get the effect of the special against my opponent?

I say, yes.  I support this with cards like DZ, which (even though it's only offensive after Meta Rules) allow you to target a teammate.

Thoughts?

that's interesting

i would argue no, as i'm strongly against playing cards that are clearly attacks on your own team.

but the rules allow it for other cards that are targetted to be played on teammates, so i say go for it

Interesting indeed!
We already discussed that topic in my playing group.  :)

I agree with breadmaster. The rules don't make it clear, I am just trying to be reasonable.

So, you believe that Nightcrawler's Trick Transport is an attack that should not be played on a teammate?  There are a number of cards like this, and it could open new deck possibilities that most people would never have thought of.

yeah, i do.

unless it says 'target teammate' (dazzler's marvels), i don't think any targetted card should be playable on a teammate.  nightcrawler's is especially irksome, since he's pummeling avalanche on the image.

however, that's just my opinion, and the rules say it CAN be played on a teammate, so you can just ignore my ramblings ;)
