Also a great card!

I'm already going to running 3x Colossus, so I'm apprehensive to run another.
which 3?

indeed, which? Krakoa is a great site for a Card Advantage type of strategy. Thunderbird has a pair of great cards, in his LO and his NK (lv.3 F, draw 1 if defended) and then you have 2 great, subversive cards from Polaris in her GF (lv.4 E, if success, move hits to Perm. Rec.) which is a GREAT card from a site; then you have her EB from Marvels, which might be the best of the non-OPD variety...

Generally, I build Krakoa like this:

Angel - AG, HO
Colossus - AC*, 7F
Polaris - GF, EB/DB (depending on my def and Events)
Sunfire - MT, FG (or AM, depending on my def)
Thunderbird - NK, LO
Wolverine - OB, FD*, EQ (again, depending on specific builds, but the EQ is MUCH better from a site)

* depending on my deck, I'll swap the AC from Colossus to Wolvie, then put in Siberian Strength (OC).

In general, if I'm using the FD, I'll also use the AM and EQ, but NOT the DB, since I'm trying to set up that 1v1 battle. This is also why I prefer the LO from Thunderbird, as opposed to Colossus'

I'm trying to build a deck with Wolverine main deck featuring Standoff.  Any suggestions?  I just thought I'd ask since it came up.

In OPOnline, I built one around Wolvie's Standoff and the "No Avoid" Event. I used a Danger Room for a Battlesite, since it has 2 good defensive cards that don't say "avoid" (BJ, CD). Then I used X-Babies and Sabra up front w/Wolvie. X-Babies for the Negate, Sabra for her lv.9 Fighting MH-Special from the Marvels... never actually played with that deck, though  :-\

Well, I was going to run 3 (AL, LO, AG) , but in retrospect that's probably too many, so I'm just running AL and LO.

Polaris: EB, GF

Angel: AG, HO

Thunderbird: FH, LO, NK

Wolverine: FD, AG, OB

Some of these just seem like no brainers, but others are more difficult.  I'm running three Wolverine so I can hopefully get the Aspect out as early as possible.  Three Thunderbirds are due to the situational nature of his specials.

I am sad to be the one to burst your bubble, but there's a Battlesite restriction  :-[

You can only have 1 of each Special card code under a Battlesite.

Really?  It doesn't mention the code restriction under the rules page.

EDIT:  Confirmed :(  That's a bummer.

Sorry for the double post, but are there any other rules that aren't mentioned on the rules page?

breadmaster

not sure which rules page you're referring to, but there is a rule about negates

the rulebook says you don't get a defensive action on specials that are not attacks played offensively.  the guide to specials says you CAN play a negate defensively to stop a non-attack (ie: draw 3, +3 to venture etc), and that's the rule everyone goes by

Kyoujin

OK, thanks. I've always played it as the latter; negates are often worded very literally.

I was referring to the rules page at overpower.ca.
