With regards to using Brood Spawn cards or Allies From The Deep in a deck, how many do you tend to include when building your deck?  Simply a few or a more generous amount?

DiceK

You may not want to keep any.

I made a bood spawn deck years ago; however, this was before the rule was declared (or maybe it always was this way and I never knew) that brood spawn is a card that is "For the remainder of the battle" and not left indefinitely like Jean Gray's TK SHIELD.

Really?  Just for the duration of the battle??  I never even considered that this was a condition of the card.  Well, that sucks.  I was exploring the possibility of using Aquaman and Brood together.  I know they are only a maximum 6-stat, but having the ability to stack cards in front of them as protection was working out to be an interesting tactic.  Guess I can scrap that!  Well, shoot.

A friend on mine made that deck before we knew about the duration of the card, it didn't really work out though, since your opponent can choose what to hit those cards with.  So they usually use their smaller power cards that they don't need for team works.

I guess it saves me the time.  Too bad.  Poor Aquaman.  Dude can't catch a break!

Agreed.  Idea had potential.

Early on I used to play them as game-lasting since the card on its own kinda implies it and a duration was not mentioned unlike other specials that did specifically mention that they lasted for the duration of battle or game. Was very bummed out to learn they were changed to duration of battle.  :'(
I'm all for changing it!  ;)

I was shocked to learn I've been using these wrong all along.

I was looking at jack's cards from the marvels, and it looks like the EB cards in that set are specifically duration of the game - am I reading that correctly?

The OPD version is for remainder of the Game.  The Non-OPD is for remainder of the battle.

I get it now, there's also a non OPD version in the marvels that Specifies power cards only

there's also one for specials too (captain Britain)

I have to believe if the marvels were released as written, the meta on the older EBs would be removed.  all the newer one's are superior to the personal ones, WITHOUT the meta
