Old to the game, new to the forum

Hey there OP community!

I've returned to the game after a many year hiatus by introducing it to a couple of the kids I teach.  They've latched onto the game like crazy-people and we've begun playing it fairly often at lunchtimes.

I've been using my collection of cards with the kids until we found an online source to order a few starters, boosters and character sets.  As we've been playing, there's a couple of questions that have come up, which is why I've signed up.  Hopefully I'll be able to find the answers here...
