if a card allows for a follow up of a type (ie: may make 1 additional energy attack) does the attack have to be only energy, or can it be a multipower attack?

Jack

It can be multi, but it will be forced to be an Energy declaration (at least at the point of attack). It differs from playing a multipower after, say, an AA as you can declare the multi to be whatever you wish.

For cards like AE, it specifically says Energy power card so you can't throw a multipower with it.

do you have some documentation to back that up, jack?

i agree with you, but someone else felt different, and the only rule i could find was inconclusive

Meta #10?
QuoteMeta #10: If a Special indicates a specific type of "attack" (such as "Fighting attack") then any attack can be made by the Character provided it falls into the legal types of attacks that can be made by the Character and that the attack is made as the specific type.

So, Bastion couldn't follow up his (Sentinels') AB with a 4M. It can also be a special card provided such a chain exists, say Professor X's AB, he can make AQ as the follow up.

Meta #11 doesn't apply
QuoteMeta #11: If a Special indicates a specific type of "card" (such as "Fighting card") then the only card which can be used with this is a "pure" Power card (such as a Fighting Power card). MultiPower and Any-Power Power cards cannot be used.

Can an AE be used in AB follow up?   Can Beyonder throw hunter/killer (shown above) and follow it w/ carnage AE blade hand 4fightingthat COMBINES wENERGY?  What say you?
