So, I just finished a great, long, fun tournament. I took home the win with the following deck:

Gambit 8a, 8a, 2/8, AT, BJ
Wolvie 8f, 5i, 4f, FD, HG, AG
Ddpool 10f, 4e, OM, OM, BF, AG
Sabes [R] 7s, AD, AD
ANYHERO AA, AC, AG, AR, BQ, BY, DB, EN, OD, ZZ
Teamwork: 8F+si, 7F+es, 6E+fs
Power: 8ffa, 7ffa, 6ffa, 5ma, 4ss, 3mm, 2ee, 1ii
Aspect: A-Next
Events: (into the depths), Lv.1 Int PC to avoid numerical / Str PC are no Venture / move 1 Hit from hero to hero

Simple, but surprisingly strong. Very fun with my fav' (Gambit) and an uncommonly used Deadpool, keepin it fresh! I didn't expect it to do as well as it did. I never lost, posting 6 total wins (including our time-Round Robin. You can read more here;)

3 Stat Sabretooth in reserve.

Any Heroes (10)
Power Leech
DoW
Bastion
Gaurdian
Confusion
Death From Above
New Universe
Gamma Terror
Web Headed Wizard
JLA

Maverick:

Combat Armour
Kinetic Absorbtion x2
Legacy Regression x2
Reaction Time

Team X/Wolverine:

Fighting Instinct
Berserk Attack
Tracking Senses

Dazzler:

Absorb Sound
Focus Energy
Roller Queen

Sabretooth:

Dangerous Mind
Wildcat Attack
Government Operative x2

Events/Artifacts/Aspects

Shockwave Rocks the World
Down but not Out
A-Next

Power Cards

8 F x3
7 F x2, 7 A
6 F, 6 A
5 A, 5 M
4 M, 4 E
3 S, 3 I
2 S, 2 I
1 M

Teamwork:

6A AA
6F IS
6S IF
7E SF
7F IS
8F ES

Ally:

5I 3I
5S 3S
6A 1I

The main strategy for this deck is to hope like hell you get a Legacy Regression out early!  With this in play on Team X it makes you pretty much immune to your own events which makes them huge venture hands for your team.  Of course if this fails you have further opportunity to win large venture hands with Absorb Sound and Power Leech.  Even a team with lots of negates has difficulty stopping all of the tricky specials.  This team is also pretty much immune to the KO event, with only Dazzler having cards that only she can use.

I found that I had a hard time getting the card count up to 56 and ended up using more universe cards than I really felt comfortable with, but having the teamworks is a great way to pile up hits when the no specials event is in play.
