what do y'all think of this set?

contra

energy: 6
fighting: 6
strength: 3
intellect: 3

inherent: may make 1 follow up attack to any teammwork card played by contra

specials

pea shooter: acts as a level 1 multi attack, may make 1 additional attack

homing weapon: acts as a level 3 intellect attack, cannot be defended by a special card

crash gun: acts as a level 7 strength attack

spread gun: acts as a level 2 energy attack against all of opponent's front line.  must be defended separately

player 2: contra must be cumulative and spectrum ko'd to be ko'd (opd)

bubble shield: avoid 3 attacks.  once used to avoid, avoids next 2 attacks (opd)

konami code: discard 1 quarter (or power card) usable by contra to draw 4 cards from draw pile.  keep duplicates (opd)

thoughts/ criticism?

the spread gun is one that would defenitely have to be tested

also, the avoid 3 attacks is different

i like it! i had a similar idea to Spread Gun when my brother and i were kicking around FFOP. we were trying to envision how to make Ultima work. we thought about the same idea, making each front line opponent defend. the problem was, when it hits, how do you make 1 card show as a hit on 3 people?
we ended up making it read, "Acts as a level 7 Energy attack. Terra may make 1 additional Energy attack against every opposing character, including Reserve. we never playtested, though.
"i was thinking again about the balance/realism issue... and despite the grids, i DO really like this game"

"Even comics arent' as much fun as OverPower."

I think that even though it is max 6, it is 2 powertypes and with that many good specials 18 may be a bit too cheap.
