Packing for an OverPower trip

In a few weeks I'm taking a road trip with my only friend that plays OverPower. He needs to drive from LA to Wisconsin and back again, so I'm going with him on the return leg (and then flying back home).

The primary purpose for the trip is to give us some time to play cards at night in the hotel. However, because I'm flying back and won't be checking a bag, I'm very limited in the cards I can bring.

So what's my best option? Should I just build three or four decks? Should I pull out a bunch of 'general use' cards (enough power, teamwork, etc to build any deck) and then bring assorted heroes and specials?

I'll probably play mostly Any Heroes, but will probably want some battlesite options as well.

I'm sure some of you have done something similar before. Any advice?

I always have 2-3 decks of whatever card game I play ready to go at a moments notice.  My current OP decks are designed to teach my friends how to play, but once I get them rolling, I should have a few decks that are slightly more competetive.  Thing is, it's a long drive from Wisconsin to L.A. so you might want to consider maybe a small bag filled with decks.  I have a case that I bought back in my VS days that holds roughly 8 deckboxes.  Mine is old and streched so I actually have about 12-14 decks currently in it, most of which are in deck boxes.  It's a small peice of luggage, that can be carried over your shoulder.  Even on the flight back, such a case would count as carry-on and shouldn't cost you anything extra to fly with, and with a little luck, could fit inside your actual clothing suitcase, or you could simply get creative with packing your suitcase, and see how many decks you can fit into your bag with your clothes.

i don't have a ton of sleeves, or cards.

what i do, is i build 2 decks that use anyheroes, and switch those cards between them

then i build 2 decks that use the same site, and switch those

last couple meet ups i've taken 4 decks, but only ended up using 2 at most

In my opinion, you should pre-build the decks. You don't want to spend your time with your friend building decks, do you? Wouldn't you rather spend that time actually playing? Maybe that's just me, but it's at least how I'd feel about it...

Ditto the sentiments of Ncan and Demacus....
