OP meta rules are more complicated than the Obamacare bill.

1.Can I keep a ko'd teammates special with this card in my hand?

2.The special must be in hand, correct?

3.What does Meta Rule 45 have to do with this special?  Please... before my head blows up. ???

4.Did I miss anything?... besides the comprehension train?

  • Yes
  • Yes, you cannot used a placed Special card if you're playing Grunge's or Fairchild's version of the card.

By fuse they mean when multipower card icons change, right?  The power cards are always the same, but specials can be whatever you choose.

Can I change a special card's icon after the initial attack has been made?  Just want to clarify...

And do special card icons fuse?  If I have hawkeye's 4 and magneto's 4, do they have to be the same icon or can I make them whatever I wish individually?

The Fusion Rule is where Multipower Power cards combine their collective icons into one. So no matter how many MPPC are on a character, they are all the same icon. Special cards are counted individually. Meta #45 shouldn't technically be globbed in with JC since it refers to specials that are actually "Multipower", i.e. Nightcrawler's CC, Quicksilver's BX or Mole Man's LC.

Attacks that can act as two or more types should be declared upon attack, but after landing they act as any one of the icons at any time and do not need to be explicitly changed.

So, in response to:

(thetrooper27)1.Can I keep a ko'd teammates special with this card in my hand?
(Jack)1.Yes

Does this imply that if you were to play a JC special via Captain Marvel, you could follow it up with ANY special card in hand, not one specific to Captain Marvel?

Jack

There are two types of JC. You can only keep KO'd teammates specials if they are Grunge's or Fairchild's.

Got ya.  I was confused mostly because the 2 scans selected for the thread have the same wording, save for the numeric attack values.

If Pym was able to follow up with ANY special in hand, that would have greatly increased the value of Ultron-1.
