use as directed? im assuming? just shuffle it in.

thetrooper27

Then discard because unusable?  To the defeated heroes pile, or the dead pile?

wait....im willing to say it is replayed freely, that is part of the effect.

so lastly it is placed on top, so it will be drawn next battle.

I agree! in every other case, Battlesite Special cards transfer their name to the character that played it - and it's longer than just that battle.

e.g.:
if I use Thor's Unfettered Might from a Battlesite, and it KO's the target and is discarded at the end of Battle, the secondary effect doesn't go to an absent Thor, and the secondary effect doesn't go away with the discard to the Defeated Heroes Pile.

if I use Banshee's Luck O'The Irish to retrieve Rogue's Nigh Invulnerable, and I get it into play that Battle - nothing about that set up is lessened, just because the DS came from a Battlesite...

- Don't get me wrong, I get the arguments that are sure to come. But why should we limit one of the best, most unique, and let's face it, the stinkin' COOLEST of the Marvels cards?!

We had this question before. The card doesn't go into the draw pile.

breadmaster

to me, it should go into draw pile (as instructed on the card), and then be discarded next battle as unusable.

i see nic's point about the name change being permanent, but why wouldn't it go back into draw pile regardless of usability?

thetrooper27

Jack, point us to the thread if there's anything that might help out.

I'm assuming, though, that the card goes to the defeated heroes pile with the other battlesite specials?

I agree about it going into the Draw Pile after the first use, at least. Then it would be discarded when drawn the next hand. That makes it quite pricy to use from a Battlesite - basically mortgaging your next hand  :-\

So you'd gain 1 card this hand, but lose 1 card next hand...  That is considerably more costly then most other specials out there.

Seems like play and discard would be the best way to play that card from a Battlesite.

thetrooper27

I think we should just infer from Jack's comment that since it doesn't go to the draw pile, it's discarded to the appropriate pile that battlesite specials are discarded to, and though I'm really not even sure, I think it's the defeated heroes pile.  I think. ???

Here's the thread.

Going to say it will be the same as a spent Battlesite special. There's no official place to put them, but they are never recycled and thus should be in the Defeated Characters pile. In our games in Toronto, we just flip them to the top of the Battlesite (the unused are still faced down underneath the site). We haven't had a problem with cheating.
