Scarlet Witch      Mystique     Quicksilver
    Magneto

Running this crew with 'Asteroid M' homebase (and the associated Aspect card) as well as Krakoa as the battlesite.  I'll also be running the appropriate Teamwork cards.

I was thinking a minimum of 3 7E as well as at least one 8E, possibly 2.  I'm going to be running some Strength hate, as my stats do not support the type.

I'd like to take advantage of the heavily supported Energy grids, as well as the Intellect and Fighting (which has synergy with both the associated Aspect and Mystique's inherent ability).

Thanks for your help!

my suggestion:

1M
2M 2I
3M 3F
4M 4I 4F
5M 5F 5I
6E 6F 6A
7E x3
8E

I agree with the 3 &up, but I'd change the 1M and the 2M for Fighting Power cards. the 3 multis (3, 4, 5) should provide enough Spectrum possibility, and the added effect of that Aspect is just so good. If you make it to the Power pack phase, or if you're using Sunfire's AM from the Battlesite, for example, being able to block with a 1 or 2 Power card and draw... it's really, really good. Just imagine how you might shake your head everytime you had to block an attack with a 1 or 2 that isn't a Fighting, just because you didn't put one in...  :-\

so,
8E
7EEE
6EFA
5FIM
4FIM
3FM
2FI
1F

That's a distribution of Ex5, Fx6, Sx0, Ix3, Mx3 - it should give pretty good balance from a Spectrum perspective, and great coverage from the F Power card defense / card advantage.

hadn't considered the aspect card but I dont see a very high chance of blocking 1s and 2s since most people use them with teamwork cards making them at least 3.

Thanks for the help!

What's your opinion on running stat increasing artifacts (Serum, etc)?

true enough in the early stages (except with an AM-Special, in this case it'd be from Sunfire off Krakoa, if used), but not so at all in the late phase, if the game goes that far.

For Asteroid M and Muir Island, I absolutely love them.

I was thinking either Serum or Crown; Darkhold (which would be used on Quicksilver) would remove his immunity from Intellect attacks.

breadmaster

such an awesome homebase

between the inherent (switching between 3 and 4 grid characters), and the aspect, there's no way to build this team that isn't fun!

Kyoujin

Yeah, I'm just really impressed with how much fun it is.

I've actually opted to not fully take advantage of the inherent ability in order to create a more overall balance grid and utilize more big hits.

Mystique is a new addition; I want to see if her grid, inherent ability, and specials make her more valuable than Rogue.  It's a tough trade, really.

in the past, I've put her in Reserve with her CA Special, Magneto & kids up front. usually, when she'd come up, I could clean a record from a teammate. she also backs up 2 Teamwork stats, which is nice

Yeah, a great grid with some lacking specials, I'm afraid.

at least she has a 6 e attack http://overpower.ca/cards/specials/910.png
and a 5 that becomes a dual icon hit http://overpower.ca/cards/specials/913.png that can fuse with a scarlet witch's AQ magneto's GJ or even quicksilver's BX for s ko

Kyoujin

Yeah, true.  She could be worse.

The deck hits really hard, as well.

I'm using Krakoa as my BS; I'm deciding whether to use Sunfire's FJ or Wolverine's FD (in conjunction with Magneto's AV) for a lock down win.  It seems a little too cute.

I <3 Standoff

but also, from Krakoa, Colossus' OC is a fantastic card! especially if you're trying to win through card advantage, which Asteroid M does well anyway. But, along the same lines of playing to the strengths of you homebase, the FD would allow you prime blocking abilities, if you drew a bunch of Fighting power cards... it's just harder to get that card to land, since it can be avoided (where the OC cannot)

Also a great card!

I'm already going to running 3x Colossus, so I'm apprehensive to run another.
