not that i was rooting against ncann, but i'm glad demacus got on the board.  no shutouts, no clean sweeps.

next one should tighten up even more.  i was thinking of doing it in september (alternating months with the toronto meetups)

any suggestions for themes are welcome.  also, nothing is stopping anyone else from doing one.

onslaught

oscorp has been on hamachi in the evenings (eastern) all last week and will be this week.  please try to get that tie-breaker in.  this thing is way overdue for some closure.

EDIT/ADDITION

onslaught, you have until monday night at midnight (eastern) to get your game in (that is, tuesday 12am).  If you don't play the tie-breaker, you're out of the tournament

if that happens, oscorp, bbh and i will play each other once, with the person with the best record winning the tournament.  if there's a tie, head to head record determines winner.  if there's a 3way tie, i'll deal with that then

Uh, I'm not sure why this is such an issue. Breadmaster, didn't I specifically tell you on AIM that if you're in a hurry to get on with things to just seed me as fourth? That way at least the other half of top 4 can play and I'm only one match behind instead of two. When I brought this up earlier in the week you said that there was no rush, so I guess we have different definitions of "rush." I was out of town, and then ill, and now catching up on work, and blah blah blah I'm busy. If you had told me how important this was to you instead of making a deadline cutoff post or something I could have tried to squeeze a game in on Wednesday.

Also, lol at being DQed completely instead of having it be a game loss, aka I fall into fourth seed since this is just a tiebreaker match anyway.

Hey Oscorp let's just play our match right here. It's not an elimination game, I'll venture 7 first turn. How many did you keep from the five drawn? Trick question I concede before battle begins, drat I'm the fourth seed now. I'll get my 4 vs. 1 elimination game in before Friday.

it's an issue because this thing has been dragged out FAR too long

you've had weeks to play this game.  if you can't set aside an hour to play a game, what can i do?  oscorp is moving halfway across the country next week, and he's been waiting online every night to play you on hamachi.  you're not responding or taking the time to set up a match.

if you want to 'concede' by betting 7, that's fine, but as i told oscorp, you have to actually play the game and do it.  yeah, it's kind of pointless, but i wouldn't let dem and ncann do it earlier to protect your playoff spot.

Thanks for playing Onslaught!   We had a short and not so sweet game.   Second hand I bet 5 for the win and couldn't pull it off.  Third hand he bet 6 and did.  Game over.

T1: He has Down But Not Out, places Leech and Absorb sound, I place out and concede
Me: 0-6-1
Him: 2-5-0

T2: Hideout Discovered doesn't effect him, I have a dupe and place Magneto 11, he bets 5 for the win, X-Babies negate Absorb Sound, Beast negate Webhead, play hand in a way that makes me not care about Leech (I had Shadowcat to avoid though), Maverick and White Queen bloody
Me: 2-4-1
Him: 2-0-5

T3: KO event, X-Babies and Maverick die, both keep 8, Magneto comes up with placed 11, he places two ally (one of which is just a 1 intellect), also places 2 strength, this is too many useless cards visible and I'm already up on cards so I bet 6 for the win, he keeps all 4 and I win venture in the end off of Master of Magnetism

ok, so harv and i played earlier today to determine the winner of this dang thing

since onslaught and oscorp were holding it up, i disqualified them.  my little team that could managed to eke out a win

my squad did what they do best...drag it to power pack

knowing sean's team is max 6, it's not as important to get out my HBs.

we went into power pack, and he bet ftw 1st hand in, rather than dragging it out.  i drew 2, with 1 keeper.  it eventually crashed, but BBH condeded the game.

if anyone wants a more detailed account, i can post it.
