JC vs AA or AB

So, if I play a JC, it's clear that whatever is my next move, it must include a Special card, even if that special is combined with another card (Power or Univ, for example).

But, if I play an AA, can my next attack include a Special? Seems like it can.

What about this: Using Doomsday, playing PARADEMONS (AA) into UNEARTHLY STRENGTH (BV)...
seems Legit.

Now, how about this: playing Domino's DOUBLE DOWN (AB) and following up with her SHRAPNEL BOMB (BV), provided that the first Power card attack is Fighting...
seems EPIC.

The BV card isn't an attack, it only affects the character playing the card.

AA can follow up with any card provided it's an attack. JC is different as it says Special Card, it doesn't have to be an attack, it can be a HQ if you have one.

EDIT:

Except Multiple Man's BV..

yeah, but you're still playing it with the additional attack - the Strength Power card.

I would certainly say that Domino can play (AB) followed by (Fighting Power card + AM).
At the same time, I see no reason why Multiple Man cannot play (AA) followed by (Strength Power card + BV).

I never said that Multiple Man's card was not allowed, his card is the only one that I saw that was allowed.

There's probably some murky wording about being able to play a special alongside an attack only if it contributes to the damage.

Here's the two cards to stir debate:

AHH! I didn't see your wording above the Multiple Man card pic - sorry.

After talking it over with Ranerdar, I've come to this conclusion:

Domino's BV isn't played with a Power card, it's played immediately before a Power card. I find the distinction being in how the Special is affected by negates.

Multiple Man's BV requires that you play the Strength Power card at the same time, so if it's negated, you lose both the Power card and the Special.

Domino's BV seems like it can be played first - and the opponent has that chance to negate - and then the Power cards come flying. So, if it's negated from the top, she wouldn't lose any of her Power cards, she'd just lose the Special.

Having said that, I think she can still go (AB) followed by (Fighting Power card + AM) - since specials that are played with attacks to grant bonuses are played simultaneously with the attack (subject to the same negating-effects-both rule)

I do not, however, think that she (or Doomsday) would be able to play an AA/AB into their BV cards.

Although I still think it would be EPIC.

Also with AM cards, if the PC (+2'd) gets blocked, the AM is discarded. Kinda like a basic universe in a way.

I wouldn't say noone... lol if you see you have a clear, unblockable shot, got for it. It's all about timing.

:)

Example, Cosmic Sneak Attack is in play, you toss her +2 with a lvl 1 power card.  Unblockable attack that gets her special in play.

CoS

Two Problems:
1) running cosmic sneak attack in an infinity gauntlet built heights the chances you will have a discardable mission in your 56 card deck (3 other events in that set are MUCH more useful see #2)
2) modern OP builds of 56 run only 2 (more likely 1) level 1 power card

But your right it is "possible" for it to happen ;)

lol  I didn't say "likely"  lol
