There is a cross reference of Overpower and canon...

the 2... things... are roughly 13 years apart...

alright, I don't know what kind of clues I can give that won't simply give it away, so here's your answer!

Brood, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Colossus (as well as ProfessorX, Storm, Shadowcat, and Nightcrawler [I think that's all]) were in the first appearance of The Brood (back in '82). Of them, only Cyke, Brood, Wolvie, and Colossus were in the first appearance of the Brood in Overpower (including the Events, which, admittedly, was a bit of a tangent )

I was looking again, though, and I think Professor should've been there instead of Colossus... wasn't he the Promo Event for Infestation? and I think those came out right before the actual Events, right? oh well

1) technically troop, you were right.  captain marvel DID in fact have a live-action tv show!  the black and white serials fang mentioned were what I had in mind

2) yep; specifically, they all had live-action tv shows
