it was tough, no doubt. I just liked the literature theme and when you're the one who knows the answer, it always seems more obvious

This might be completely crazy, but those characters were in sequential order in the 2011 Heroclix release 'Incredible Hulk': Wolverine #035, Mr. Fixit #036, Ghost Rider #037, Spider-Man #038. 

If that's not the answer, it's a very crazy coincidence.

Yes...interestingly enough, I think it would make a decent deck, but it definitely follows a comic theme.
