Card reads, "Velocity is +3 to defense against any attack made with a power card with the same power type as and power cards on velocity's permanent record for remainder of game"

Just want to clarify this card really quick. So if she has a multipower power card hit on her permanent record, she gets +3 to any defense of a power card that is not an anypower, right, or only to other multipower power card attacks against her? If she has an anypower on PR, then she gets the bonus against anypowers as well? I'm more wondering about the scenario where she has a multipower power card hit on her and gets attacked with an 8 strength, which is a specific type.

Icons are different than type.

So, if she were to have a Multipower Power Card hit, she gains +3 to any subsequent Multipower Power Card attacks made on her.

Same with Any Power, it's only the Any Power Power Cards that she gets a bonus to.

But the multipower power card can act as any type at any moment, so it would seem viable that I could get a bonus against any specific type power card except the anypowers. I mean if a multipower power card can act as a strength power card, then getting a bonus when defending a strength power card would technically fall into the wording of the velocity special, wouldn't it?

The special has nothing to do with what a power card acts as, it's referring to the actual card itself.

Bios

Meta #81 - When a choice of icon is given, any single icon can be chosen (including the Any-Power icon). MultiPower is not an icon. When a choice of skills is given, only the four skills on a Character's grid may be selected. Any-Power and MultiPower are not skills.

MX specials were not related with this meta... another involuntary omission.

Just my two cents

I agree.
