are you finding that the scans from the mid 90s have colours crisp enough for you?  iirc, you mentioned you weren't doing recolouring

I'll do some enhancing to the image if they seem really faded. I'm mostly separating out the characters from the background in these images.

These look fantastic Jack. One question. Will OPD/the comic credit be centered on the image? Right now it looks like it's centered on the card as a whole and it looks off to me.

Yes, that's how it will appear. I know it looks really messed up but if you look at any recent specials, it's centered to the card and not the image.

Am I correct that you want to stick to images from comics and nothing from trading cards?

I'm hoping to get all 92 images from the comics, willing to stretch it back to the early 90's and late 80's if there's a really good image (good is defined as matching the specials' name and/or effect -- Human Torch's Strategic Burn would show an image of him using flames to actively attack an enemy).

EDIT:

When we do finally print off the Marvels expansion, we're doing one full set (90 new Special cards and 2 new Character cards). Of course, that's the minimum we're going to include and we have realized some people may want more than 1 of some particular cards.

do you have a list of cards your still looking for imagines for. i can go through my comics i have a ton of x-men and some spiderman books from that era. Overpower got me into comics so just about all of them are from this time. also I dont have a scanner so any picture i find that you would want to use i can mail you the comics as long as you mail them back when I buy my set.

Still a ton of things BBH and I need to discuss. WGP has an updated version that would prevent people from looping WGP if it were in the 8 cards to look at.

Alternate recommended game text - Look at the top 8 cards in your Draw Pile and select one card to be placed in hand.  May not choose another "With Great Power...".  Put the remaining cards back into the Draw Pile and reshuffle.  Put "With Great Power..." on top of Draw Pile.

And we'll go with a slight variation on it as shown on the preview image. That was not factored in when we decided on these numbers.

There were a lot of cards that were "one-but-two-if-we-have-room" but it depends on the printer and what caps they impose. There are 10 cards on that list:

To be honest, I would welcome alternative suggestions for a particular card. The images I've picked out are only what I think looks good and what represents the special.

With that said, there are some characters that I really need help looking for after doing a quick pass through the characters:
Alpha Flight (particularly Madison Jeffries)
Heroes for Hire
Shang Chi
War Machine
Wasp

The rest of them haven't been found yet or has good candidates. I'll post an update next week with samples of cards before retouching.

And don't worry about sending the comics, I have access to all of them and sending me just the comic's name, month/year and optionally a page number would help.

I actually reallly like the AP Teamwork, i would pay 20 for the set, just for that card.

When i printed my set, I also printed a bunch of other cards like Beyonder (he is in the marvels too though), A-Next, 5M, DoW and some other rare cards that get used in decks alot, so i can run multiple decks without switching my "playable copy" of those cards around. I think people would like to have extra copies of those cards. Also, add the pheonix card to the multiple's list, i had a deck where i used three of those.

the AP teamwork looks fantastic.
