Acts as a level 11 Strength, Fighting, or Intellect attack. Zealot's Team may not attack for remainder of battle. (MC)

would aspects played by the homebase count as the 'team'?

First let me say, I dislike the whole ruling about Aspects being played "by" the Homebase. Having said that, considering the ruling(s) about Homebases/Battlesites not being a "teammate" then I'd say the Aspects are still playable.

what exactly can you do on your own turn after you play MC?

well, you can still take any offensive actions that are not actually attacks. So, you can play buff cards, draw cards, etc. You just can't play anything that affects your Opponent or their Team or their Battlesite.

what about an ai from the first set, like hobgoblin or colossus?

those would be considered attacks since they affect your opponent

course you can still play artifacts for your team like ncann said

if the team includes the homebase (like the FS says in the marvels guide) then aspects should NOT be allowed

though I don't really agree with that FS interpretation, but whatever

this would be called a "double standard" or, "Meta Rule"  :P
